simplicity

I went ahead and added a new “Currently Reading” and “Recently Read” section to the sidebar. I’m using the Amazon Media Manager plug-in and so far it’s working out pretty well. I’m hoping to make some changes to the blog in the next month or so. I’ll be getting my wisdom teeth out in August, so I’ll be stuck at the parents house recuperating and being bored. So I’m hoping besides doing a lot of reading, I can go ahead and make some changes to the layout and fix up this thing.

I had a few minutes to toss around today, so I went ahead and upgraded the wordpress install to 2.1. There’s more then a few new changes, especially with the visual editor. The visual editor incorporates a spell-check feature, which seems like a pretty nice addition, but for some god awful reason it keeps thinking that my post has “no misspellings”, even after putting in a few words that are blatantly misspelled. Nothing I can really do about it, did some research and haven’t really come to a conclusion as to why. I’m hoping to start updating more frequently, as I start to get some free time here and there.
