Danny Johnson Breaks World Record (and a Controller) in Guitar Hero III – NYTimes.com
Ridiculous. I hope a video of this is out there somewhere.
At a Best Buy store in Midtown Manhattan, Danny recorded a score of 973,954 with a roughly seven-minute rendition of DragonForce’s heavy-metal shredder “Through the Fire and Flames,” the game’s most difficult song. Players rack up points by hitting buttons on a plastic guitar controller in time to the music. The previous record, 899,703, was set by Chris Chike, 17, in Minnesota last August.
After his record-setting performance at the media event, sponsored by Guinness World Records to promote Guinness World Records 2009 Gamer’s Edition, Danny revealed one of the techniques he used to beat the old record by such a wide margin: calculating the optimal moments to use the game’s Star Power function, which gives bonus points for a short time during a song.
“You really have a choice of using Star Power during Red Snake or during the Twin Solo,” he said, referring to guitar passages in “Through the Fire and Flames.”
Danny came within seconds of playing all 3,722 of the song’s notes flawlessly, but his streak ended at 3,558 when the blue button on his guitar broke under his assault.
Danny said he had destroyed about 80 plastic Guitar Hero controllers in the last nine months with his intense play

Three million points? Wow, insane. I’m just going to assume that his girlfriend broke up with him over Photo Hunt, even though it doesn’t say that.
Dennis Just is better at spotting misplaced nipples than you. Missing eyeballs and discolored pillows, too. Because Dennis Just is arguably the world’s best player of arguably the world’s best bar game, Photo Hunt.
Like those pages in Highlights magazine, Photo Hunt and its half-naked counterpart, Erotic Photo Hunt, are bar-top (and now iPhone app) video games that match up two stock images and award points for identifying the five differences in as little time as drunkenly possible. Just, an astronomy Ph.D. student at the University of Arizona, has hit a top score of 2,904,742, nearly a million points higher than his closest known competition. (There is, inexplicably, no official Photo Hunt leader board.)

Hilarious Video of Women Driving
A friend just sent me this video. While the Hamster song is a little too much, the actual video itself is hilarious. I especially love the car flipping over towards the middle of the video.
Little Kid Stoned After Visiting the Dentist
Great video of a seven year-old reacting to what can only be described as some tasty medication. Just think, without YouTube we would have had to wait for “America’s Funniest Home Videos” to see such a clip.
